firelight readarounds

Great storytellers know that reading out loud is a performance... but writers are awkward creatures 🥹 And what if we've never been invited to read?!

Not to worry. Firelight Readarounds are online community readings to practice and share. Develop confidence and stagecraft with a supportive community in our Discord. And when you're ready to perform for bigger crowds, we'll  host public events too!

Readings held monthly, every last Sunday 8PM ET. All members welcome to both read and attend.

  • We’ll regularly send out calls for Readers in our Discord and Newsletter.  The first 8 to RSVP will be that month's readers.

     

    Once you RSVP, you’ll get a confirmation email with more info.

  • We have 2 types of Readarounds. Both run about 1 hour

    • Closed: Comfy practice sessions open only to the LMC community

    • Open: Public events open to all. Share your work with the world! 

  • I want to read constantly?

    If you RSVP as a Reader, congrats! Just be considerate of others who might want a slot too.

    I try to RSVP as a Reader but the slots are always full. Is there a waitlist?
    When there's time left over we switch to an open mic. And if you keep missing your shot, email us.
