campground commons
This is the LMC Discord server. Think of it as a giant chatroom with 10+ channels for reading & writing activities, conversations, and events. Hang out around the digital campfire and connect with fellow members!
Just scroll down and click JOIN once you're a member. Not sure how Discord works? Follow the instructions on this page under "How to Join." More in the server will walk you through it 🔥
1. Use the same email address for both Discord and LMC.
2. When you change membership tiers, click the JOIN button below again to let Discord know.
Important!
Members can scroll to the bottom of this page and click Join. Then follow the instructions.
Discord will ask you to create ("register") or connect a Discord account. Do so, using the same email address you use for LMC membership, and you'll be guided to an area where our server will be visible. Just click on the LMC logo and you're home!
*Important*
1. New members must complete the process above. After that, you can visit the Campground Commons directly via Discord. Easy!
2. However, if you change tiers or cancel and rejoin, just click Join at the bottom of this page again to make sure your Discord access is properly updated. Sorry!🥹
3. Use the same email address for Discord and LMC! That's the ID by which the Discord integration will recognize you to grant the proper level of access.
Basic members can access 9 channels of activities and conversation — including monthlong readalongs in Book Chat and biweekly Prompts & Challenges led by special Facilitators.
Sassy and Fancy members can access to the Editor AMA and Craft Chat channels. Imagine having editors on call to answer your most troubling questions. Plus a monthly story analysis with its writer or lit mag editor -- sometimes both!

Discord isn't granting me proper access?
1. Use the same email address for both Discord and LMC! Verify it in the confirmation email sent by Discord.
2. When you change membership tiers, scroll down and click JOIN again to update Discord on your status.
I'm lost in Discord?
Click on the LMC logo to join our server. The #orientation-start-here channel will talk you through use of the Commons.
